If you’re an animation addict, fashion fanatic or design devotee but you don’t like the boring white gallery and white wine that normally go with art exhibitions, Swatch and MTV have a radical new art experience for you to enjoy. Swatch MTV Playground presents a fresh and original exhibition, as part of this year’s Valtifest; that allows you to be the curator and to put the ‘show’ back into ‘art show’.
In May, Swatch MTV Playground was launched as a new online art gallery and creative community for the exchange of work and inspiration, challenging aspiring student artists around the world to let their imaginations run wild and to upload their creative visions onto www.swatchmtvplayground.com. Now the best of film, fashion, music, 2D and 3D animation, graphic art, illustration and motion design from these new international artists, has been brought together and is coming to Valtifest in a travelling exhibition showcasing their work and giving visitors a sneak preview of the next generation of vibrant, creative geniuses, as part of the larger festival.
Swatch MTV Playground will present visitors with an experience that’s compact but contains a whole world of ideas. They can browse through all the work chosen in the dedicated booth as well as adding some atmosphere to their experience with full control of mood-enhancing lights and music.
Finally, once they’ve worked their way through all the exhibits and watched the excitement of the art battle, there’s even a comment wall for visitors to write their thoughts about the show which will become a piece of art in itself. The whole experience of an art exhibition on just two square metres!
Covering locations across Europe and Asia as diverse as Athens, Amsterdam, Beijing, Berlin, Lucerne, Seoul and Tokyo; Swatch and MTV will present art in an innovative new way and allow the visitor to have a truly interactive experience with the exhibits.
So kick back, watch, listen, discover and enjoy. The Swatch MTV Playground exhibition will be unlike any art show you’ve been to before!
